The
Manned Observation Stations (MOS) Unit was
established in CWRDM in 1992 with the
available personnel and infrastructure
facilities to store and retrieve data and
make it available for the research
requirements of the Centre and for other
user agencies. As a part of the research projects
taken up byCWRDM, several climatologic and
hydrologic observation stations were
installed, and also data on different
parameters collected from the field. Aneed for the management of these data
was recognised. Data
are also collected from the observation
stations of other departments/agencies.
