Recognising the importance of education, and extension, an Education and Extension Division was established right at the inception of the Centre. This Division coordinated the training programmes of CWRDM and also served as the Irrigation Management Training Cell. Thereafter, this Division was renamed as Training, Education and Extension Division. The Division is also responsible for coordinating the training programmes under Water Resources Management Training Project (WRMTP).
