PROFESSIONAL ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Presently working as Scientist F and Executive Director i/c, Centre for Water Resources Development and Management (CWRDM). Joined CWRDM as Scientist C (1980) and promoted to Scientist E1 (1986), Scientist E2 (1992) and Scientist F (1998). Prior to the CWRDM assignments, served in Anthropological Survey of India (Cartography/Human Ecology, Regional Centre, Nagpur, 1975-1978) and All India Soil and Land Use Survey Organization (i/c Cartography Section, Regional Centre, Nagpur, 1978–80). Involved in various research pursuits as Scientist, Principal Investigator and Co–investigator of the projects such as formulation of projects, investigation of projects, preparation of technical reports, research papers and also other several allied activities: coordinator of training course/faculty, seminars/workshops etc. in the field of water and its related aspects and geography.
Specialization: Agricultural Geography, Human Ecology, Geomorphology, Cartography, Urban Geography, Socio-economic and Participatory Approaches for Water Resources Management.

Research projects completed:
About 20 research projects completed on various land-water related aspects funded by State, National and International agencies such as STEC, DoEFW, INCID, USAID/IMTC, KSEB, ISRO, KCIP, OECF- Japan, IGIDR/UNDP, RGNDWM, DST (NRDMS)/UNDP etc.
Publication in Books/Journals/Proceedings (other than research reports)
About 35 research papers published in national and international journals/proceedings and books and about 35 research papers presented in various national and international conferences/seminars.
AWARDS/HONOURS AND AFFILIATIONS
Received award of Certificate of the Merit from Institute of Engineering (India) for one of the publications in 1989-1990. Member, International Geographical Union (IGU) Commission on Marginalisation, Globalisation and Regional & Local Responses (CO4.27). Corresponding Member, Study Group of IGU on Critical Zones in Global Environment Change. Chairman, Board of Studies in Geography, University of Calicut (2006-2009). Convener, Research Committee of CWRDM (2002-2006). Chairman, Project Review Committee of E&TT Project of CWRDM (2004 -2006). Member, Board of Examinations of M S/PhD (Ecology), MSc/MA/PhD (Geography) and M Tech Degree examinations of Pondicherry (Central) University, Amaravati University, NIT,K (2005) and Rajshahi University of Bangladesh . Visiting Professor, Dept of Geography, Shivaji University, Kolhapur (2005), Member, Board of Studies in Geography, Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad (2001-2005).

EXTENSION AND TRAINING RELATED ACTIVITES
Involved as in various extension activities as Scientist i/c of Water Resources Museum organized by CWRDM and also officially invited by other Institutions. At present I am working as the Executive Director of CWRDM.
